The closing match of the third day of Ligue 1 between Nice and OM was interrupted. While the Gym led 1-0 on a goal from Kasper Dolberg, Dimitri Payet was about to take a corner. The number 10 Olympian was then the victim of a bottle thrown in his back which he sent back to the Nice kop. Very quickly the Aiglons supporters invaded the lawn to rub shoulders with the OM players.
An evacuated supporter
The referee of the meeting, Benoit Bastien, decided to send the 22 players as well as the sidelines to the locker room. In this crowd movement, a Nice supporter was evacuated and taken in charge by the emergency services.
The players are still awaiting information from the meeting and league delegates to see if the game will resume in the next few minutes. Ropes of CRS were deployed at the edge of the lawn.
