TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Heart cancer often show no specific symptoms. However, there is one symptom that is very specific and reminds you to see a doctor. According to the UK’s National Health Service, this disease can cause a lump on the right side of the abdomen.
This can then affect digestion, leading to pain in the upper right side of the abdomen. It can also cause the stomach to swell. Cancer Research UK says this could be for two reasons. Either the liver is enlarged because the cancer is growing and causing swelling on the right side of the abdomen or cancer (or cirrhosis) increases the pressure in the liver causing blood to back up into the vessels. This forces fluid out of the veins into the stomach.
