The Californian band temporarily dismissed the musician who did not want to be vaccinated because he fears side effects (being suffering from Guillain-Barr syndrome)
The Offspring, historic Californian punk group, have decided to temporarily remove – because he did not undergo the vaccine against Covid – their drummer Pete Parada. it was the musician who made the story known through a post on Instagram. He explained that he did not want to vaccinate because of his medical history: My doctor advised me not to do it. More than a year ago I caught the virus and I’m sure I can handle it again, but I’m not sure I can survive post-vaccination Guillain-Barr syndrome again. I have been suffering from it since I was a child and it got worse over time. Unfortunately for me (and my family, who still want me alive) the risks far outweigh the benefits.

I’m not going on tour with the band
Without vaccine for it will not be possible to go on tour so Parada, who has been part of Offspring since 2007 (joined the lineup of Original Prankster and The Kids Aren’t Alright in place of the previous drummer, Atom Willard), will not participate in the next dates: Since I am unable to respect what is becoming an industry demanded obligation, it has been decided that not sure he is around and going to the studio and on tour. I say this because you will not see me in the next concerts. I want to tell my story to make those who are experiencing the same torment and the same sense of isolation that comes from being pushed aside feel less alone.

Without hard feelings
