The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has accepted the request of the Pyramids and Nouadhibou clubs of Mauritania to transfer the two teams’ match in the last round of the group stage of the African Confederation Cup, to be held in Cairo, instead of the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott.-
The executive management of the Pyramids Club, led by Eng. Mamdouh Eid, the Executive Director, continued with the officials of Nouadhibou Club during the presence of the Mauritanian team in Egypt to confront the Egyptian Port Said, regarding the possibility of holding the final meeting of the group stage in Egypt instead of Nouakchott, and it was agreed between the officials of the two clubs, and to submit a joint request from The two clubs of the African Union, explaining in which the Pyramids Club bears the costs of accommodation and travel back to the guest team.
And CAF sent an official letter to all the parties concerned, notifying him of agreeing to transfer the match to be held at the stadium “June 30”, Air Defense in Cairo, next Sunday, February 2, at six in the evening, after the agreement between the two clubs.
Pyramids qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup from the fourth round after reaching point 12 of 4 consecutive victories in the groups.
The Pyramids and the Egyptian Busaidi teams rose to the last eight of the African Confederation as the first and second for their group in the group stage of the African Championship.
