Kombes Latif Usman officially served as Director of Traffic at Polda Jaya replacing Brigadier General Sambodo Purnomo Yogo. Latif said that the problem of solving congestion in Jakarta is his current focus.
“Today I accept the responsibility, especially the problem of traffic and today of course what is the hope of the people of Jakarta, of course, what was conveyed by the Chief of Police, the problem of congestion is our focus,” said Latif at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Thursday (14/7). /2022).
Latif appreciates a number of policies that have been carried out by Brigadier General Sambodo as the Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya previously. Latif will continue the Sambodo program which has been running well so far.

The former Director of Traffic of the East Java Police is aware of the phenomenon of traffic jams in Jakarta that never ends. Latif said he would try his best to overcome Jakarta’s traffic jams.
“Where are the expectations from the leadership, especially the community, how can the trip, especially in Jakarta, run smoothly,” he said.
Kombes Latif also talked about enforcing traffic violators within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya. He admitted that he would prioritize enforcement through an electronic system.
“Law enforcement is the last step that we will take. And according to the order of the National Police Chief, all law enforcement will use electricity. Hopefully this can be realized in Jakarta,” said Latif.
