Al-Ahly club sent an official letter a few days ago to the Disciplinary and Discipline Committee of the International Football Association (FIFA), in which the Tunisian Sahel Club complained about the latter’s failure to pay Al-Ahly’s outstanding dues regarding the deal of Ivorian Suleimani Coulibaly, the former Al-Ahly player and the current Sahel star, which is estimated at a million and 400 thousand dollars despite The Egyptian champion on a FIFA ruling in mid-July. The Tunisian champion is forced to pay Al-Ahly’s dues within 45 days from the date of the ruling, but the Tunisian club did not comply.

A source in Al-Ahly said that the Red Castle Council headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib addressed more than one local, continental and international body recently in order to preserve the club’s rights, including the FIFA Disciplinary Committee and the Egyptian Football Association, which in turn notified the Tunisian and African federations of the game in order to activate the decision to ban the Sahel star From registration in implementation of FIFA’s decision, in addition to suspending the Ivorian player.

The International Football Association had issued a ruling accepting Al-Ahly’s complaint against Al-Sahili and Suleimani Coulibaly, after the player fled Al-Ahly in May 2017 and moved more than a year ago to the Tunisian club, and FIFA obligated the Tunisian club and the player in solidarity to pay $ 1,400,000, in addition to Up to 15% annual interest, starting from October 31, 2019 until the date of payment, in light of the complaint previously submitted by Al-Ahly, and in the ruling of the International Federation to inform the Tunisian club and the player of the account number immediately and directly, to pay the amount due on them, while obliging the club Etoile Sahel and the player to submit proof of payment to the International Federation, and the suspension will not be lifted until Al-Ahly informs the International Federation that it has received all its dues.

The decision also included that in the event of non-payment of the amount due, in addition to the benefits stipulated by the Tunisian club and its player within 45 days, starting from notifying the Al-Ahly club of the bank account number, the following will apply:

The coastal star is prohibited from registering any new players, whether at the local or international levels, until the amount due is paid and for a maximum period of three full and consecutive registration periods, and the ban is completely lifted once the amount due is paid.

In the event that the amount due under this decision continues not to be paid, the matter is referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.

The player’s participation in official matches is prohibited until the amount due is paid and for a maximum period of 6 months, and the ban will be fully lifted once the amount due is paid.

In the event that the amount due under this decision is not paid, the matter is referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.
