AS Roma getting one more new player ahead of the 2022/2023 season. Georginio Wijnaldum joined Roma on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
Wijnaldum has arrived in Rome since Thursday (4/8/2022) local time. The Dutch international midfielder then underwent a medical test on Friday (5/8/2022).
Wijnaldum’s transfer to Rome was finally officially announced on Saturday (6/8/2022) early morning WIB. Roma have the option to make Wijnaldum permanent at the end of the 2022/2023 season.

“The feeling is very nice to be a Roma player. Everyone I spoke to gave good feedback about this club,” said Wijnaldum on the club’s official website.
“The club made it clear how much they wanted me through the efforts made to complete the deal, which always gives players confidence and belief. The response from the fans, on social media and elsewhere, has also been incredible,” continued the 31-year-old midfielder.
“I promise to give 100% and help the team compete for all of our targets,” said Wijnaldum.
Georginio Wijnaldum be the fifth player brought in AS Roma in the transfer market this summer. Previously, Jose Mourinho’s troops had brought in Nemanja Matic, Mile Svilar, Zeki Celik, and Paulo Dybala.
