Currently users who signed up for Twitter Blue, or who signed up after November 9, 2022, will automatically receive a blue check mark. Meanwhile, newly created accounts starting November 9 cannot sign up for Twitter Blue.
The new Twitter Blue is currently only available on the Twitter app for iOS. It is not yet known when this service will be available to users of Android, Twitter web or in countries that have not been touched by Twitter Blue. Twitter Blue is currently only available in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Twitter It also distinguishes between accounts that get blue ticks using the previous verification system and accounts that pay to get blue ticks.
Accounts that previously received a blue check mark (now called “legacy verified accounts”) will have a statement that the account is verified because it is an important account in a certain category. This account can also lose the blue tick if you don’t sign up for Twitter Blue.

Musk has positioned the paid blue check system as a way to increase user trust in Twitter. But this idea has also been criticized by many people because now anyone can impersonate an important person’s account and get a blue check mark, so users can be confused as to which account is the original and fake version.
One of the ways Twitter to solve this problem is to issue a permanent suspension policy for accounts impersonating important figures without an explanation that they are parody accounts.
The bird logo platform is also testing a new gray tick symbol and an “Official” label for some Twitter account profiles. The new label was released but a few hours later it was immediately withdrawn from Twitter.
