Lazio coach, Simone Inzaghi, is said to be a successor to Conte at Inter.
Inter Milan officially announced that it had reached an agreement to terminate the contract of the coach, Antonio Conte, Wednesday (26/5) evening local time.
Conte parted ways with Inter after presenting scudetto 2020/21 Serie A season [dan menjadi finalis Liga Europa musim lalu]. The Nerazzurri successfully broke Juventus’ dominance and won the league for the first time in 11 years.
The financial crisis that hit the club due to the corona virus pandemic was the cause. The recession hit the Suning Group as the company that owns Inter. That is added to the Chinese government which is no longer a priority for football.
Pademi Covid-19 forces Inter to make efficiency, one of which is by reducing the operational burden of the team.
Previously, president Steven Zhang had asked the players to give up two months of salary after the Serie A champions. Inter even planned to cut wages by 20 percent for the first team.
To balance the balance sheet, Inter will need to sell a number of players to earn up to € 80 million. That’s according to the famous transfer expert from Italy, Fabrizio Romano.
This situation made Conte feel that his ambition to take Inter to a higher level was no longer in line with club policy.
The 51-year-old coach’s contract at Inter actually still remains until June 2022, since being trusted in the summer of 2019.
