Official! Sri Mulyani Removes Palm Oil Export Levy Until August 30, 2022

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati officially abolished the export levy on crude palm oil (crude palm oil/CPO) and its derivative products. This regulation is contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 115 of 2022.

“This PMK is a change to PMK 103/PMK.05/2022 regarding the tariff for BLU services for oil palm plantations regarding export taxes which are widely conveyed to the public,” Sri Mulyani said on the sidelines of the G20 event, Nusa Dua, Bali, Saturday (16/02). 7/2022).

Sri Mulyani said the PMK provided tariff changes to all fresh fruit bunches, palm oil, CPO and palm oil products, as well as use cooking oil, and crude palm oil. This rule is valid until August 30, 2022.

He further said that after August 31, or September 1, 2022, to be precise, the tariffs for palm oil levies would be applied progressively.

“In this case, low CPO tariffs are very low or prices rise, it will increase, with the aim of BPDPKS getting funding to carry out a price stabilization program,” he explained.
