Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE takes a selection of features from the flagship tablets in the S7 series and makes them available to more people thanks to a lower price. Samsung also successfully used this strategy on the phone side with the S20 series in the spring of 2020 and the S20 FE which was released a few months later.
Samsung Galaxy S7 FE comes with S-Pen and the screen is 12.4 inches and of TFT type, so no OLED screen as on the more expensive tablets. In any case, the pen allows you to make notes in the Samsung Notes app and thus also get what you write interpreted into text that you can easily edit.
The 12.4-inch screen allows you to split to run multiple apps simultaneously side by side. That way, you can, for example, stream a football match in one window while browsing the web in another and writing notes with the pen in a third. If you are on the go, you can manage the streaming via the mobile network for Tab S7 FE is also released with 5G support, provided that you have 5G coverage where you are when you are streaming. To make the tablet more computer-like, there is a keyboard case to buy through Samsung’s Dex mode, you can activate a more computer-like interface on the tablet.
Smaller and cheaper – Tab A7 Lite
Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a smaller tablet that is released at the same time and it has an 8.7 inch screen and comes in a 4G and a wifi model instead of the 5G support that S / FE has. Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has internal storage of 32 GB, but if you need more, which sounds likely, it can be expanded with memory cards up to 1 TB.
Prices and sales start
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE and the cheaper Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite will both be released for sale in Sweden at the end of June.
Tab S7 FE costs SEK 7,300 for the version with 64 GB storage and SEK 7,800 for the 128 GB version. Galaxy Tab A7 Lite comes in both a wifi version and in a version with 4G support. There, the price is SEK 2,000 for the wifi version and SEK 2,300 for the 4G version, both with 32 GB storage.
