PT Pertamina (Persero) again raised the price of several types of fuel. In fact, this state-owned company has not even a month to raise the price of fuel.
Three non-subsidized fuels sold by Pertamina experienced price adjustments. The price of Pertamax Turbo in Jakarta rose to Rp. 17,900/liter from the previous Rp. 16,200/liter. This means, Pertamax Turbo increased by Rp. 1,700.
The price of Dexlite rose to Rp 17,800/liter from the previous Rp 15,000/liter. Then, the price of Pertamina Dex became Rp. 18,900/liter from the previous Rp. 16,500/liter.

“PT Pertamina (Persero) made an adjustment to the price of general fuel oil (BBM) in order to implement the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) ESDM No. 62 K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the Basic Price Formula in Calculation of the Retail Selling Price for General Types of Fuel Oil. Gasoline and Diesel Oil Distributed Through Public Fuel Filling Stations,” said Pertamina’s announcement quoted from its official website, Wednesday (3/8/2022).
These three fuels last underwent price adjustments on July 10, 2022. At that time, Pertamax Turbo increased from Rp. 14,500/liter to Rp. 16,200/liter.
Then, Dexlite increased from Rp 12,950/liter to Rp 15,000/liter. Pertamina Dex increased from Rp. 13,700/liter to Rp. 16,500/liter.
Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, explained that price adjustments were made again considering the development of high oil prices.
“It was noted that the average ICP price per July was US$ 106.73/barrel, still around 24% higher than the ICP price in January 2022. The ICP price is indeed very volatile, but the price is still quite high,” he told AFP. .
He emphasized that the prices for Pertamax, Pertalite, and diesel, which consumed 95% of the consumption portion, remained unchanged. Although Pertamina Turbo has increased, he said the price is still the most competitive in its class.
“95% of the national fuel portion, namely Pertamax, Pertalite, and Solar, has not changed the price, only certain fuel segments, namely Pertamax Turbo and Dex Series, which have changed, are still the most competitive in their class,” he explained.
The price of Pertamax Turbo cs which has increased is different from one province to another.
