It had been in the air for several days, it is now official, the start of the ACFF championships is well and truly postponed, as the ACFF communicated this Friday evening. The start of competition in divisions 2 and 3 ACFF is set for September 20 while the start of competition for the provincial championships is set for September 13. The young people will return to competition on September 20.

The National Security Council authorizes outdoor sports activities and competitions in accordance with the protocols defined by Madame Valérie Glatigny, Minister of Sports.
In this context, the start of the championships organized by the ACFF was scheduled, until recently, the weekend of September 5-6, 2020.
In the meantime, the first rounds of the Belgian Cup were moved at the end of August and the beginning of September thus impacting all the teams of divisions 2 and 3 ACFF as well as a good number of provincial teams.
In addition, some actions with the CBAS are still in progress.
These are the reasons that led the ACFF Board of Directors to take the following decisions:
• The start of competition in the
divisions
2 and 3 ACFF is set at
September 20 ;
• The start of the competition for
provincial championships is set at
September 13 ;
• Regarding the resumption of
youth competitions, we think it is better to let go of the start of the school year and to resume
September 20.
Regarding the specific modalities that the mayors could take within the framework of the management of their municipality, we invite the clubs to contact the municipal authorities and to let us know at the beginning of the week if their activities may be impacted. This is to allow us to better assess the situation and, if necessary, to take the necessary measures.
