The OnePlus 8T gets a super-fast display with a number of fast gadgets.
This week the OnePlus 8T officially announced. Thus, the earlier leak appears to be there no T Pro variant comes as good as confirmed. Anyway, the Chinese smartphone brand is quietly revealing all the specs of the device. So far that’s only good news; the OnePlus 8T gets a super-fast display.
OnePlus 8T display
OnePlus always uses the T-series as an intermediate step between major releases. The OnePlus 8T is no different, according to a press release about the display of the smartphone. The upgrade of the normal OP 8 gets a 120Hz screen. In other words, a refresh rate of 120 frames per second.
The refresh rate is variable by the way; the smartphone automatically adjusts the refresh rate depending on the frame rate of what it should play. This way, the smartphone prevents the display from running out of sync with the content, which can lead to annoying visual effects such as screen tearing and artifacts.
In contrast to the OnePlus 8 Pro, the 8T, on the other hand, does get a flat display. With the former, the brand introduced a 120Hz curved display, but it is no longer moving to the T-series.
Other gadgets
To make the user experience even smoother, the device also gets a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. In short, this means that the OnePlus 8T display checks 240 times per second whether the user is providing input. 240Hz equals a check of the display every 4.16ms. The refresh and input time are very fast. Earlier we saw these specs for the Galaxy Note 20+, for example.
Further information will not be announced by OnePlus yet, but if we have the earlier leaked specs may believe, a very cool device is coming. We will probably know more before October 14, because then the OnePlus 8T will be released.
