Newcastle have confirmed that Steve Bruce has left his post as manager, by mutual agreement.
The togetherness of Newcastle United and Steve Bruce which lasted more than two years finally came to an end. Newcastle have announced on Wednesday (20/10) evening WIB, that Bruce is leaving his position as head coach of the Magpies.
Actually this is not surprising news, considering that new investors from Newcastle are ready to bring in a more classy person to fill the manager’s position at St. James Park, with unlimited funds ready to disburse them.
Bruce was also self-aware and seemed relieved, although he was still carrying out his duties amid all the intense rumors that were almost certain, that his position at Newcastle was only a matter of time before he stepped down. Moreover, last week Newcastle again lost to Tottenham Hotspur.

“I thank everyone connected with Newcastle United for the opportunity to manage this unique football club,” Bruce said, quoted by Newcastle’s official website.
“This is a club with great support, and I hope the new owners can continue to where we want to be. I wish everyone the best for the rest of this season, and beyond.”
It appears that Bruce is the only one who should leave the Newcastle coaching team, as the club confirmed that Graeme Jones will lead the Newcastle squad as interim coach, alongside Steve Agnew, Stephen Clemence, Ben Dawson and Simon Smith.
“I want to thank my coaching team, the players and the support staff in particular for all their hard work. There have been ups and downs, but they have given everything even in difficult times and should be proud of their efforts.”
Who is the next Newcastle United manager?
Antonio Conte is a name that Newcastle’s new owner is seriously targeting. However, it seems that the former Inter Milan and Italian national team manager has refused to return to the English Premier League, in favor of managing Newcastle.
In addition to Conte, the living legend of Chelsea, Frank Lampard, also entered the next Newcastle manager market. Lampar is currently unemployed, and is considered to have the qualities to form the foundation of the team. After that, there is the name of the most favorite, namely former Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, who is currently still focused on Rangers.
