BOLASPORT.COM – Joan Laporta official to become the newly elected president Barcelona on Sunday (7/3/2021).
Ex president Barcelona the 2003-2010 era won the general election held on Sunday local time.
He defeated two other candidates, namely Victor Font and Toni Freixa.
The vote count is still ongoing but Laporta has already pocketed 50 percent.
Until Monday (8/3/2021) at 04.00 WIB, Laporta collected 1418 votes, far superior Victor Font (780 votes) and Toni Freixa (273 votes).

Quoted by BolaSport.com from Mundo Deportivo, Laporta will take office at the earliest this weekend or the beginning of the following week.
Laporta itself will serve until June 30, 2026.
