Official iPhone 12 Series prices in Indonesia, starting at 13 million

Merdeka.com – In mid-October, Apple finally introduced its newest iPhone line consisting of four variants, all of which have 5G connectivity.

The four variants are iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Actually since November, the iPhone 12 Series has been released. However, it is limited to countries where Apple is the market, which is marked by the presence of the Apple Store there, as well as other global markets.

In the country, the release of Apple gadgets does take a while, considering that there must be verification of the Domestic Content Level or TKDN from the Ministry of Industry.

But finally, the iPhone 12 Series will be released this December, and start pre-orders on 11 December. As before, the official iPhone device in Indonesia is carried by PT Erajaya Swasembada which is sold through iBox.

What is the official price for the iPhone 12 Series in Indonesia? We will discuss that soon. But beforehand, let’s discuss the specifications of each of the following variants of the iPhone 12 Series.

IPhone 12 Series Specifications

Let’s start with the iPhone 12. From the outside, it appears that the iPhone 12’s new design language is used, although it still uses the notch that has become the hallmark of the iPhone.

This change lies in the boxy aluminum frame, like the one we encountered on the iPhone 5. However, there is also a thinner bezel so that overall this latest iPhone looks even more elegant.

This time, Apple has embedded an OLED screen called Super Retina XDR. This screen supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG. The screen is 6.1 inches wide with a resolution of 1170×2532 pixels, which brings the pixel density to 457. This is the first time Apple has increased the pixel density and resolution in its regular iPhone variants for a long time. This makes the iPhone 12 screen now no less sharp than the Pro version of the iPhone.

Regarding the camera, the iPhone 12 still carries two cameras consisting of a wide and ultra wide camera, but these two sensors get new, more sophisticated specifications. Both are 12MP sensors, but the lens aperture is equally large, namely f1.6. This will make the camera will capture more light and perform better in low light. In addition, a deeper depth of field will make the photo background more blurry and aesthetic.

Apple has also upgraded its camera software, starting from the Deep Fusion processing technology, a Night Mode that can be applied to all cameras (even selfie cameras), and Smart HDR 3 which is much more sophisticated than the previous generation.

The iPhone 12 Series are all powered by Apple’s latest chipset, the A14 Bionic. This processor appeared last month at the introduction of the latest iPad Air. This is Apple’s latest silicon built on 5 nanometer technology.

Finally, the iPhone 12 supports the 5G frequency band which can download data at speeds of 3.5 Gbps. The use of 5G itself will be smartly adjusted by the iPhone, so that if it is not used, the device will immediately change to 4G to save battery.

Unfortunately for 5G, the iPhone 12 Series in Indonesia will have its 5G capabilities locked considering that no provider has yet provided this service.

iPhone 12 Pro dan Pro Max

For the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, just like the regular variant, this premium variant device carries a flat design that reminds us of the iPhone 5 design, combined with a triple camera coupled with a LiDAR sensor. Do not forget, complete with 5G connectivity (which is also locked)

The iPhone 12 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen, slightly larger than the iPhone 11 Pro, which is only 5.8 inches. While the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a span of 6.7 inches, it is slightly larger than the previous generation which is only 6.5 inches. Both have 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage variants, and the latest four colors, namely silver, graphite, gold, and blue.

Just like the regular iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max carry the latest A14 Bionic chipset. Apple claims that the CPU and GPU performance is up 50 percent over the A13. Apple also increased the core count for the Neural Engine to 16.

About the camera, Apple has embedded a lot of updates, both in hardware and software. In the main camera, there is a new system for OIS optical stabilization, a technology called sensor shift. This is the stabilization applied to the sensor instead of the lens. Thus, vibrations from low to high such as hand movements or cars can be overcome.

In addition, there is a LiDAR sensor that can speed up autofocus in dark conditions, and can get accurate depth even in dark conditions. Not only that, this sensor supports Augmented Reality content creation.

There’s also a feature called Apple ProRAW that brings professional photography to the mobile industry, by supporting advanced computing for the RAW format.

In the video sector, the iPhone 12 Pro can record Dolby Vision HDR video and supports 10-bit HDR video. With this, the iPhone 12 Pro camera can capture more than 700 million colors. What’s more, supported by increasingly sophisticated optical stabilization, video performance with movement will be very good and resemble the use of a stabilizer like a gimbal.
