Finally, the Honda ADV 160 will have a competitor in the automatic scooter class (scooter) with an adventure style. Italian motorcycle brand, Aprilia, will launch a new scooter competitor to the Honda ADV 160 Aprilia SR GT 200.
In an invitation from PT Piaggio Indonesia received by detikcom, Aprilia will launch a new scooter. It is confirmed that the scooter is an Aprili SR GT with the tagline “You city gets sporty”.
The Aprilia SR GT was launched this weekend, Saturday (16/7/2022) in Jakarta. Piaggio Indonesia has also released a teaser of the Aprilia SR GT 200.

Before officially launching, this potential competitor to the Honda ADV 160 was also exhibited in Indonesia, precisely at the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP. The motorbike has an adventure scooter aura combined with a sporty feel.
In terms of specifications, Aprilia SR GT 200 is equipped with a single cylinder 174 cc engine. The machine is claimed to spit out a maximum power of 17.43 horsepower at 8,750 rpm and peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
In terms of design, the Aprilia SR GT is thick with a sporty aura. The front fascia is similar to the Aprilia RS 660 sport bike. The headlights are LED, with a high windshield position.
Then from the side, the shape is quite sturdy. This adventure-style scooter comes with curves and a terraced seat model. This potential competitor to the Honda ADV 160 also adopts wide handlebars and is equipped with a digital instrument panel that can be connected to a smartphone.
Furthermore, from the braking sector, the Aprilia SR GT 200 is equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) brakes. The braking system uses 260 mm discs at the front and 220 mm disc brakes at the rear. There is storage space under the seat with a capacity of 25 liters and is claimed to be able to fit a full face helmet.
As for the suspension, the front uses the Showa brand measuring 33 mm and the rear shock uses Showa coil springs, with preload settings.
