Jiloan Hamad has played for both Malmö FF and Hammarby in the Allsvenskan, but in recent seasons he has belonged to HNK Gorica in Croatia.
In the spring, however, Hamad confirmed that he would leave the Croatian club.
– I actually do not know what the next step will be if I am to be honest. Home is home and it is clear that it has been nice to come home. But which club it will be, you do not know. As a player, you can not take anything for granted. Just because you’ve done something good in a club before does not mean that all the doors are open. You get to see what fits best and you should not take things personally, Hamad said then and continued:
– I check and am open to everything. I’ll simply see how it turns out.
Recently, the offensive midfielder has been linked with a move to Allsvenskan clubs, mainly Örebro – which has had meetings with Hamad.
– With the qualities he (Hamad) has as a player and as a person, it is clear that it is interesting. Then, of course, it is conditions that will work. There are several parties who should be satisfied, but it is a player that I hope to see in ÖSK at some point in the future. Whether it will be now or later, it remains to be seen, the club’s football manager Axel Kjäll told Fotbollskanalen in the days.
On Wednesday, ÖSK now confirms that Hamad is ready for games at the club. Hamad thus returns to the Allsvenskan, which he left after the 2018 season when he belonged to Hammarby.
Hamad has signed a 3.5-year agreement with ÖSK.

Since then, Jille has rightly become a symbol of Örebro and after many years from the city, it feels incredibly good to finally see him in the black and white shirt. This is something we have worked for for a long time and he is with his profile and his experiences a dream signing, says football manager Kjäll in a comment.
– It’s nice that everything is ready, it has been a small process but everything has gone fantastically well and now I long to get out on the field and help the team. This is where I grew up, this is where I have family and my closest friends. I stood in the stands and followed ÖSK as a child. It will be fantastic to step out at Behrn Arena. I want to help and contribute as much as I can, to the club and to the supporters. We will make sure it is a nice trip, says Jiloan Hamad.
Hamad is ÖSK’s second merited new acquisition recently. On Tuesday, the club also presented Nahir Besara.
