Shock report late on Sunday evening: The European Super League announced in an official statement that twelve clubs will take part in the newly founded competition.
The founding members include AC Milan, Juventus Turin and Inter Milan from Italy, Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool from England as well as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona from Spain. In addition, three more clubs are to be added by the time the game begins.
Real boss Florentino Perez is the first president of the Super League, with Juventus boss Andrea Agnelli as vice-president. Manchester United’s Joel Glazer will also serve as vice president. The league wants to start the competition “as soon as possible,” said the press release.
The teams should continue to play national leagues. OK. BUT: These 15 teams should get 3.5 billion at the start. Everything else can be imagined. Incredible sums for a closed circle. No team would ever catch up to those 15 again. #SuperLeague

How it will go with the UEFA competitions is still unclear. A statement from UEFA is expected on Monday morning.
There’s *nothing* stated, official or confirmed yet about next Champions League and Europa League matches “temporarily suspended”. No press release, *nothing* decided yet. UEFA meeting in the next hours will clarify this point. ???? #UEFA
