OFFICIAL: Chelsea Sign Noni Madueke £35 Million From PSV

Chelsea officially brought in winger from England, Noni Madueke, from PSV on Friday (20/1).

Madueke signed for Chelsea for £35 million. The 20-year-old player is contracted until June 2030.

The player follows the arrivals of Mykhailo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos and Joao Felix who were on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea, who have been led by Todd Boehly since taking over from Roman Abramovich last summer, have spent around £280 million on new players before the 2022/23 season begins. Their spending has now doubled to £468.6 million!

“I am very happy to be joining one of the best clubs in the world,” said Madueke after Chelsea’s inauguration.

“Returning to England and playing in the Premier League is a dream for me and my family. I can’t wait to get started,” said the England Under-21 player.

“I am enthusiastic about pinning my future here, on the vision of the owner and the club, to win at the highest level,” he added.

Madueke has only made nine appearances for PSV this season after sustaining a severe ankle injury during pre-season training last July.

The player who is fluent in playing on the right wing has scored 20 goals and 14 assist in 80 appearances while defending PSV since 2020.

Madueke, who was born in Barnet, began his career at Crystal Palace’s academy before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2014.

Four years in the Spurs youth ranks, Madueke signed his first professional contract with PSV in 2018, despite receiving offers from Chelsea and Manchester United.
