“UEFA is in discussion of moving the match to England, but after tiring efforts from the Football Association (FA) and authorities, it is not possible to achieve the required exemptions from England’s quarantine regulations.”
“The Portuguese authorities and the FPF stepped in, worked swiftly and seamlessly with UEFA to offer a suitable place for the final and as Portugal is on the green list for England, fans and players present for the final will not need to undergo quarantine on their return,” the statement read. .
