OFFICIAL: Cesc Fabregas Joins Club Owned by Konglo Indonesia Como

In Como, Fabregas will work closely with Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, the legend of the Indonesian national team who is now the assistant coach of I Lariani.

Former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has officially joined Italian Serie B club Como.

Fabregas was brought in on a free transfer after being released by AS Monaco at the end of last season. Together with Como, the 35-year-old player signed a contract until June 2024.

The club, which is run by the two richest brothers in Indonesia, Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono, does have ambitious plans in football.

Since acquiring Como in 2019, the club nicknamed I Lariani has successfully penetrated the second tier of the Italian League with the status of champions of the 2020/21 Serie C season.

Last season, coach Giacomo Gattuso’s squad finished 13th out of 20 teams in Serie B.

It is noted that Fabregas became Como’s fourth new signing this summer after signing midfielder Racine Ba, winger Liam Kerrigan and defender Filippo Delli Carri.

As for the owner of 110 caps The Spaniard made just five appearances for Monaco’s first team last season, with two of those in French Ligue 1.
