Officers Rescue Dog That Swam 200 Yards in Frigid East River – NBC New York

An adorable pup named BeBe, who somehow got away from his owner and swam more than 200 yards in the frigid East River on Saturday, was rescued with the help of the New York City Police Special Operations unit. authorities said.

The officers put on their water rescue gear and swam towards the “scared” dog. The animal, which was uninjured, was reunited with its owner a short time later.
