A motorcycle agent pulled his weapon against an activist farmer this afternoon. The police reported that. No warning shot was fired.
The 39-year-old farmer from Oost Gelre was part of a group of protesters. After the protest actions in Zwolle and at supermarket sector organization CBL in Leidschendam, the farmers returned home this afternoon via the provincial road.
The police deviated from the agreed route. An agent called the group to a stop and ordered them to get out. The farmer in question refused. He would have driven the motorcycle cop with his trigger.
Police said the situation was “so dangerous” that the officer drew his weapon. The farmer then stopped the tractor and got out. The man was then arrested and taken to the police station for questioning.
