Benfica made official the hiring of Nemanja Radonjic this Sunday night. As Maisfutebol registered in due time, the Serbian winger signed for just one season, as he arrives on loan from Marseille. The eagles are left with a purchase option worth seven million euros, according to information collected by our newspaper – the loan involved an investment of one million.
Accompanied by Rui Costa, Radonjic took the usual photos and showed off his new shirt, which bore the name “Nemanja”.
Capped by Serbia (22 games/4 goals), Nemanja Radonjic is a winger trained at Partizan and who has already had spells in Romania (Viitorul Constanta), Italy (Rome and Empoli), again for Serbia (Cukaricki and Red Star) and arrived in 2018 to Marseille.
In France, he played regularly (63 games/8 goals), but was never an undisputed starter, therefore leaving for an unhappy transfer to Hertha Berlin (12 games/1 goal).
On the same day, Benfica lost an interior striker (Waldschmidt) and won a wingman.
