Brooklyn: An officer who led operations against drug cartels in Mexico for years was jailed in a corruption case. Former Mexican government official and engineer Genaro Garcia Luna was sentenced to 38 years in prison by a federal court in Brooklyn. The punishment was for supporting the drug trade by taking bribes from the drug cartels he was supposed to protect.
