That would be the fifth fatality in the raid on US Congress buildings by frenzied supporters of President Donald Trump. On Thursday, four people were already killed. A woman was killed by a firearm from a security guard in the building when she tried to climb over the last obstacle to enter the central hall. Three others died for unknown reasons.
An unknown number of people were injured. At least 80 Americans have been arrested and more arrests are expected. The question is whether dozens if not hundreds of others will still be caught. The White House did call for that on Thursday evening Dutch time.
The FBI is looking at Trump’s role in storming the US parliament, CNN reports. The security services previously announced that they would prosecute the assailants and look back on footage showing possible criminal offenses.
For example, secret documents have been stolen from the offices of American politicians. The room of Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, among others, was occupied. One photo showed a man stretching out his legs across her desk and leaving a note. He leads a patriotic pro arms group.
