Settings and Control Panel
–
I and Windows 11 Control Panels and Settings will coexist. The second named application will undergo a complete redesign, which should make it easier for users to set up the system. It will include complete layout changes, which include a new menu on the left side of the window. This menu should remain visible at all times, so it will allow you to quickly jump to a specific section of settings. It is complemented by colored icons for easier orientation. The Settings application should be rewritten to work faster. And it will include new features such as virtual desktops or customizing the touch keyboard with your own background.-

Control panels, on the other hand, expect only minor adjustments. In addition to the rounded corners, the icons are also exchanged.
File Explorer
–
Microsoft has not spared the changes even in the case of File Explorer, which will undergo a major upgrade. In addition to the new icons that appeared earlier in Windows 10 Insider Preview, we can see some simplification of the user interface. This could make working with files faster, for example, on tablets and notebooks with a touch screen. These changes also include a new navigation bar that includes separate buttons for creating new folders, cutting, copying, pasting, renaming, deleting, and sharing.
Microsoft Office
–
Word, PowerPoint and Excel from the Office package will also change significantly. Although the features should remain the same, the controls will now be more consistent, which also applies to the colors used.
Paint and notepad
–
Paint will also get a more modern header according to the principles of Fluent Design, which should include all the features as before. Cosmetic changes are also waiting for Notepad, which is, however, mostly covered by other windows in the screenshot.
Photos
–
Photos will remain the default application for viewing images in Windows 11. Here, too, changes in the style of Fluent Design are expected. One of the novelties will be a floating menu with controls for editing images. The application will also learn to automatically create albums from your photos.
