American Airlines has presented its schedule for the summer of 2023 to Europe. The American airline plans to increase its offer by 14% compared to 2022.
In total, American Airlines will offer up to 64 daily flights to European destinations this summer, almost half (26) of which will operate from London Heathrow.
Rome Fiumicino will be entitled to seven daily flights, compared to six to Paris CDG, five to Madrid, four to Barcelona and Dublin and three to Athens.
There will be two daily connections to Amsterdam and Frankfurt, and daily flights to Lisbon, Munich, Milan, Venice and Zurich.
In terms of seasonal summer connections, next month will see the launch of flights from Charlotte to Madrid and Rome, as well as between Dallas and Madrid.
In May, American will launch flights between Philadelphia and Venice; Chicago and Barcelona; New York JFK and Athens; Dallas and Amsterdam and Charlotte and Dublin.
Finally, in June, the carrier will add flights from Chicago to Athens and Dublin, and from Paris to Charlotte.
Earlier this year, American Airlines announced plans to extend its route between Charlotte and London Heathrow this summer.
A third daily frequency will launch on April 15, 2023, departing Charlotte at 11:25 p.m. and arriving at Heathrow at 12:15 p.m. the following day, with the return departing from London at 4:55 p.m. and landing in Charlotte at 8:32 p.m.
AA is by far the largest carrier in Charlotte and the only airline to offer nonstop flights between the North Carolina city and the UK.
“We are delighted to carry even more passengers across the Atlantic this summer and are happy to be able to meet the growing demand for flights to the United States from Europe. Last summer showed us that travel is high on to-do lists, with summer getaways a key time every year. Throughout this busy period, we are delighted to be able to offer 14% more flights, helping to further establish American as one of the leading American carriers in Europe.”
