Silke Moschitz (48) has been the new head of the urban development department in the historic town hall since March 1st. She succeeds Kirstin Niemann, who has accepted a new professional challenge after almost ten years with the city of Offenburg. Silke Moschitz has already been in charge of the staff position in parental leave twice. Her tasks include the management and implementation of the city center program GO OG as well as public participation in various major urban projects (new building clinic, train station, state horticultural show advertising and housing policy). What Moschitz finds particularly exciting about the tasks of the staff unit is the diversity across all areas of responsibility of the city administration, the short distances and the close cooperation with all departments.
