On Monday afternoon between 6:20 p.m. and 6:40 p.m., there were said to be several assault offenses and insults to the detriment of travelers on the regional train RB 17129 (route Offenburg to Freiburg im Breisgau).
A previously unknown man is said to have kicked and hit travelers between the Lahr and Teningen-Mundingen stops for no reason. Several people are said to have been shouted at, spat on and insulted by the stranger.
The federal police have initiated criminal proceedings and are looking for witnesses and victims of the incident. People who also observed the incident and can report on it or who may have photographed or videoed the event are asked to contact the federal police on 07628 80590.
