Offenbacher Verkehrsbetriebe will soon be putting the new e-buses into operation.
As of the timetable change on December 13, Offenbacher Verkehrs-Betriebe (OVB) will gradually put the first seven electric buses into operation, the city announced. Another 29 electric vehicles are to follow in the course of the coming year.
On Thursday, November 19, 9:30 a.m., the OVB want to present the new e-bus fleet to the public – due to coronavirus online at www.offenbach.de/e-bus. At the unveiling of the buses there is, among other things, a greeting from the Hessian Economy Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Greens) and a lot of information about the new vehicles. The Offenbach radio presenter Evren Gezer will guide you through the program and give you a look behind the scenes.
“A milestone”
“For us, the presentation of the new electric buses is a milestone in the 136-year history of Offenbacher Verkehrs-Betriebe,” says OVB managing director Anja Georgi. Mobility Department Head Sabine Groß (Greens) speaks of a “big step forward towards the mobility of the future”. The e-buses stand for the protection of the climate, the traffic turnaround and for a better quality of life for everyone who lived in Offenbach, according to the department head.
