Because they probably wanted to have fun, young men push an Offenbacher off his bike. The police are now looking for certain witnesses.

Offenbach – After an attack on a cyclist on Wednesday evening (March 3rd, 2022) in the Büsingpark in Offenbach, the police are looking for very specific witnesses. At around 7.45 p.m., an Offenbacher was cycling towards the Main/Hafeninsel when three 1.70 to 1.80 meter tall men aged 20 to 30 met him on foot, according to the police.

Two of the men jumped aside, but the third gave the cyclist a “body check,” officials said, causing him to fall to the ground. He then stood in front of him, “smiling scornfully”. According to the Offenbach police, the men then continued towards the city center. The attacker should have a round face and a light beard.

He is also said to have worn a dark jacket and conspicuously large-framed glasses with metal rims. The cyclist suffered abrasions to his knee and bruises to his shoulder as a result of the fall. In addition, the helmet and the bicycle were damaged. A group of three to four passers-by watched the fall from a distance and offered help to Offenbach.

The police are now looking for the unspecified passers-by and other witnesses to the incident and are asking them to contact the Offenbach police station on 069/80985100.

In Mainhausen (Offenbach district), a couple of older boys are said to have recently pushed a twelve-year-old off his bike and robbed him. The police are also looking for witnesses in this case.
