Sreto Ristic, coach of the regional soccer division Kickers Offenbach, has once again emphasized that the season will not be a sure-fire success. Against TSG Hoffenheim II, he expects a “completely different” game than the last one at 1: 1 in Koblenz.
Offenbach – Dejan Bozic struggles with the word reparation. The center forward of the regional soccer division Kickers Offenbach thinks little of dealing too much with the past. After two games without a win (1: 2 against Ulm, 1: 1 in Koblenz), they wanted to “push our game on” this Friday (7pm) at TSG Hoffenheim II, said Bozic. “We have to find our way back to our old strengths.” To the strength that the OFC had in the first two games against FC Homburg (1-0) and at SV Elversberg (2-1).

Setbacks like in the last two games are also part of it. After the verbal warning hadn’t brought anything, you had your experiences on the pitch, said Ristic, whose team recently had problems in Koblenz with the wildly approaching and sometimes tough opponents.
The home game against Hoffenheim II will be “completely different”, says Ristic. And Bozic adds: “We know what to expect.” Namely a typical first division reserve with “top-trained players”, according to the OFC trainer. “It’s a dynamic team that plays a lot of systems. Besides, you never know who is coming down from above. “
Personnel support from the professionals could use the reserve insofar as after the 1: 2 defeat against Elversberg the entire right side is canceled. Defender Niklas Kölle saw yellow-red, Michael Guthörl, who had initially acted before him, red.
But the OFC also has to reschedule externally. Left-back Ronny Marcos is out for the English week after the ligament injury in his ankle that he sustained in Koblenz, so also for the game next Tuesday in Kassel. In Vincent Moreno there is only one trained full-back in the squad, who has not yet made it into the matchday squad in the current round and has no practical experience in the regional league.
Despite the tense situation on the defensive outside positions, Ristic remains calm on the outside. In a pinch, central defender Moody Chana could help out there or move Lucas Hermes to the rear alongside Tuma. “They are then 15 to 20 meters lower,” the trainer sees no problem. The filling of the full-back position (s) will not be the only change. In Florent Bojaj (hip contusion), another player who had been in the starting line-up in Koblenz is out. The first contender is Denis Huseinbasic, who has obviously benefited from the short break and who was one of the assets after being substituted on. But Serkan Firat can theoretically hold the half position in midfield. However, since the 27-year-old winger has only been training with the team again since Tuesday after his ankle ligament injury, it is questionable whether he will be enough for the league day squad today.
