The long-time SK Sturm coach made his debut as ÖFB team boss in November 2017 and has been on the bench in 22 international matches – 14 games were won, six were lost and two ended in a draw.
Most recently, Foda led the ÖFB team to EURO 2020 – at the tournament taking place in the summer of 2021, David Alaba and Co. will face the Netherlands, Ukraine and an opponent still to be determined.
