ÖFB legionnaire Hannes Wolf played with his club in the North American Major League Soccer (MLS) on Saturday. New York City FC secured a late draw against superstar Lionel Messi and Inter Miami. James Sands equalized in the 95th minute to make it 1-1. Substitute Leo Campana had put Miami in the lead after assists from Messi and Jordi Alba (75th).
Offensive player Wolf was in action until the 88th minute, Messi played the whole game in his third match since an ankle injury suffered two months ago. Miami has already secured its playoff ticket as the clear leader of the Eastern Conference. New York City, in seventh place, can also almost certainly plan on making it to the knockout phase.
The Vancouver Whitecaps, who with former international player Alessandro Schöpf suffered a 2-4 defeat at Los Angeles Galaxy, also have good chances. However, they are also seventh in the West.
