Since I read a lot and at every opportunity, including while eating, there may be spots on a few pages. I cannot and will not go through every page of every single book.
Certainly one or two books read a little crookedly, but others look like new, which is often because such a book didn’t grab me after the first few pages.
So if you want to decorate the books on your shelf, you’re not in the right place with me and please don’t exchange them with me either.
I read for the content and if that’s what it’s about, this is the right place for me.
And please definitely note: pet AND smoking household, if that bothers you, please keep scrolling.
A new case for private investigator Nik Pohl by bestselling author Alexander Hartung.
The kidnapping of a building contractor’s 14-year-old daughter attracts the attention of former detective Nik Pohl and his friend Jon. Despite the great media interest, only a few details are made public. They find out that the wealthy family’s driver was shot during the kidnapping and the girl is obviously in great danger.
After a ransom demand is received, the official investigation focuses on the victims of a construction scandal for which the entrepreneur is said to be responsible. But Nik is convinced that this trail is just a distraction. When a well-known criminal tries to force him to stop his investigation, he sees this as confirmation…
