Dealers in the Saint-Loup district, in the 10th arrondissement of Marseille, broadcast on social networks an advertisement filmed with a drone. A provocation not really to the taste of local politicians and police services.
It is a one-minute sequence that created controversy in the political class and enraged the Marseille police services. In recent days, dealers from the Saint-Loup district, in the 10th arrondissement of Marseille, have indeed made their promotion on social networks through an advertisement. This one, carried out with the help of a drone which turns in the district, gives in particular the address of the point of deal and the times of sale, while promising “a cordial reception” and of the “potato” all the week. The products sold, in this case weed and weed, are also presented in front of the camera while the social networks of this point of deal, on Snapchat and Telegram, are also broadcast, while covering the song. The sequence finally ends with the – fictitious – assassination of a man in the middle of the street, killed by another man who arrived at his height on a scooter.
An open investigation, a planned intervention
In reaction to this publicity which made several local politicians react, the Marseille prosecutor’s office confirmed that an investigation had been opened for “incitement to the use or trafficking of narcotics”, which could earn those responsible a penalty of 5 years in prison and a 75,000 euro fine. For their part, the local police services, and in particular a CRS company, should intervene in the coming days in the neighborhood in order to dislodge the dealers and thus put an end to this large-scale trafficking. One way for the authorities to respond to the concerns of the inhabitants but also to this clear provocation of traffickers who clearly did not amuse the police in Marseille.
