They probably didn’t expect that: Oesch’s die third are currently going through the roof with their song “Ich schenk dir eine Jodler” on the music streaming service Spotify. Within a few days, the song was heard over a million times. The reason: The track not only consists of yodelling, it also contains techno sounds from the Norwegian hardstyle duo Da Tweekaz.

Two years ago the DJs played elements of the song, which was actually released in 2012, at the world-famous Tomorrowland festival in Belgium. “We thought the idea was very funny, but in no way thought of a collaboration,” remembers Melanie Oesch (33). Around a year later, the request for the unusual cooperation was received. «And of course we were happy. I think it’s good to be open to such projects and to try something out. “

Spotify plays fivefold
The collaboration has paid off: the publication has increased the playback rates of Oesch’s third parties on Spotify fivefold. «The hardstylers are incredibly open to our music and regularly link us in their posts on social media. This is new to us. I find it super likeable, ”enthuses Oesch. She is amazed at the size of the hardstyle scene and how many people from our region regularly travel to events like this and follow the whole thing very closely. I never thought.”

At the moment, however, the focus is on her “The journey continues” tour, which started on Thursday. “Of course it would be great if people from the hardstyle scene visit us at our concerts and listen to our music live,” says Melanie Oesch. “Who knows, maybe there is still a lot to discover.”
