The Swiss won the tenth World Cup race in the discipline across all seasons in Palisades Tahoe and thus mathematically secured the third win in the overall World Cup, which had actually been a long-standing fact.
The Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen and US local hero River Radamus occupied the other podium places. Raphael Haaser achieved his best giant slalom result in seventh place.
Manuel Feller took eighth place immediately behind his teammate, while Lukas Feurstein scored strong points in tenth place. Stefan Brennsteiner and Joshua Sturm (15th at halftime with start number 44) were eliminated in the final. With Patrick Feurstein, Dominik Raschner and Kilian Pramstaller it was more or less not enough for the second round.
