The Star Wars sequels often referred to Darth Vader, one of the most famous movie villains of all time. Also in the Disney + series The Mandalorian is a nice ode to Darth Vader incorporated and you probably do not even notice that quickly. Note: SPOILERS !!!
If you haven’t seen “Chapter 12: The Siege” yet, you better skip this message. At the end of the episode, pops up Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon and he wears a new suit in the scene. This suit is already referred to as the Vader suit.

In the episode it becomes clear that Moff Gideon needs little Baby Yoda to create a new kind of Stormtrooper that has and can deploy the Force to some degree. These could be the Dark Troopers.
