“The strategy for regulating individual traffic will be carried out with an odd-even system in agglomeration areas, toll roads, provincial capitals, tourist areas, and areas for increasing mobility,” said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya in a working meeting with Commission V DPR, Wednesday (1/12). /2021).
However, the roads to be implemented are still under discussion. Regarding toll roads, it has been confirmed that there are 4 sections that will be applied odd-even.
“The odd-even system is applied to the Tangerang-Merak toll road section, the Bogor-Ciawi Cigombong toll road section, the Cikampek-Palimanan-Kanci toll road section, the Cikampek-Padalarang-Cileunyi toll road section,” said the Minister of Transportation.
“For the regulation of vehicles on toll roads, an odd-even, open-close scheme is carried out rest area, one way, if possible contraflow, as well as implement random sampling from rest area or in designated places,” continued Budi Karya.
In addition, the odd-even policy will be enforced in tourist areas with other restrictions balanced. Budi Karya stressed that tourist attractions without managers will be temporarily closed.
“Meanwhile, on non-toll roads, an odd-even scheme is also carried out in tourist areas one way, contraflow, and various important efforts we will make random sampling about their adherence to PeduliProtect with two vaccines and doing antigens,” he said.
“In tourist areas, odd-even schemes will be implemented, capacity restrictions, use of Care Protect and temporary closure of unmanaged tours. So only managed tourism will be allowed to operate.manage the number and procedures that apply there,” added Budi Karya.
