The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced a significant milestone for the medical community: 3,845 out of 6,600 candidates have successfully passed the Physicians Licensure Examination. This promising news was made public in a press release dated October 19, 2024. The examination, administered by the Board of Medicine across multiple locations—including the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga—reflects the rigorous assessment standards upheld by the commission.

A Collective Triumph

The licensure examination is a crucial gateway for medical graduates seeking to practice in the Philippines. The successful candidates have demonstrated their knowledge and competence, an achievement that promises to enhance healthcare services around the nation. Dr. Zenaida L. Remo, facilitated this challenging process.

"The culmination of years of study and training has brought us to this moment of celebration," Dr. Antonio stated. "It is our hope that these new physicians will uphold the values of compassion and excellence in their patient care."

Key Dates and Instructions

The results of the examination were released just three working days after the final assessments were conducted, showcasing the PRC’s commitment to efficiency. Starting November 25, 2024, candidates who passed can register online for their Professional Identification Card (ID) and receive their Certificate of Registration.
