Scale fulfilled! MMA fighters successfully completed the weigh-ins before Saturday’s Oktagon 61 gala evening in Brno, although some had to use a second attempt. There was also unexpected nudging and handing out of tickets. Tensions are rising and will peak on the evening of September 21.
Dear wrestlers
The Oktagon 61 tournament in Brno is marked by the return of familiar faces and promises a great spectacle for MMA fans. The biggest attraction is undoubtedly the comeback of Makhmud Muradov, who is returning to the Czech Octagon after a break of several years. This Uzbek fighter, who has fought in the prestigious UFC organization in the past, has built a strong fan base on the domestic scene, and his return is therefore a long-awaited event. On public esteemthe fans showed their support in a big way.
Lucie Pudilová, another former UFC fighter, will also face a foreign opponent in Brno. While her opponent was laughing in her face during the weigh-in, Pudilová came even closer to her and started looking at her very hostilely. However, the tournament will also bring a number of other interesting names.
Among the favorites of the Moravian audience are fighters such as Andrej Kalashnik and Vladimír Lengál, who take on dangerous foreign opponents. Weigh-in for these pros took place in relative peace.
The participation of Tomáš Hron, legend of Czech kickboxing and combat sports, will also be a big event. Hron, who made history with his long and successful career, will say goodbye in style at the Octagon. He will face a wrestler he has defeated in the past. He enjoyed himself very much and the audience’s favor was obvious.

Problems and nudging wrestlers
The weighing of the wrestlers was not without problems, some had a problem making the weight and many of them used the opportunity to strip down to their nakedness, even so some did not succeed. In particular, Duque and Sardari failed to meet the weight limit, as they were given two hours to meet the limit.
The biggest surprise at official weighing there was clearly a heated staredown between Radek Roušal and Nezar Bahaji. A wrestler, whom at first glance few would call a wrestler, attacked Roušal. Their jostling continued at the public weigh-in, where the promoter was alert and prevented further nudging.
