Ochsenfurt: Clinic writes fire letter to …

Because the clinic staff is still overworked and exhausted, the Main Clinic Ochsenfurt has turned to politicians in an open letter. In the letter, the clinic’s staff criticize above all that there is no improvement in sight.

There is a lack of staff, especially due to the corona pandemic and the overload in the intensive care unit. At the same time, it is problematic that acute operations are currently prohibited by order of the government of Lower Franconia. This creates more space for Covid patients, but at the same time creates a competitive disadvantage for the clinic. This also affects the next generation – because for training purposes it is better to go to a clinic where all the operations are carried out.

Another problem is the bureaucracy, which did not improve during Corona and which took up important time. Clinic employees are also critical of the sole obligation to vaccinate employees in care facilities. They are calling for everyone to be vaccinated.

There has already been initial feedback on the letter, according to a spokeswoman for the clinic. The letter will also be sent to the Bavarian Minister of Health Klaus Holetschek forwarded. There will also be a video conference with FDP MP Andrew Ullmann in January.
