Scott Leslie Schwartz was born in 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, into a religious Jewish family. While still in school, he showed interest in sports such as hockey, American football and baseball. Scott later continued his education at Temple University.
In the late 1970s, Schwartz began his wrestling career under the management of Walter “Killer” Kowalski. Joshua Ben-Gurion’s pseudonym reflected his Jewish origins. In the 1980s, during one of his tours in Bakersfield, the tall and muscular wrestler was noticed by an agent from Hollywood. Thanks to this event, Scott was able to change his field of activity to acting without any problems.
In cinema, the actor became famous thanks to the images of antagonists. One of his most striking characters is a thug named “Bulldog” from the “Ocean’s Eleven” trilogy, directed by Steven Soderbergh.
