LIVE Techno – The ocean is full of mysteries. Between underwater volcanoes and the Bermuda Triangle, scientists may not be too surprised when they also find black holes.
While it is true that these oceanic eddies are different from those in outer space, they still share many key characteristics.
In outer space, black holes are dark and inescapable areas. While technically there are no black holes in the oceans, there certainly are.
For years, scientists have observed massive oceanic eddies, which are whirlpools strong enough to devour anything in their path. It is this frightening similarity that has led many experts to equate eddies with black holes.
As previously mentioned, some experts argue that these massive eddies in the oceans could help counter the effects of climate warming.
At first, this seemed impossible, but with Haller and Beron-Vera’s findings, scientists now have a better idea of how these vortices function.
