Given the first unemployment data for 2020, Spring Professional, the selection consultant for middle managers, media and managers of the Adecco Group, has presented its employment forecasts on what will be the most demanded and most quoted profiles of the Spanish labor market in 2020, in its’XV Report The Wanted +‘, which highlights that, in the case of the Healthcare & Lifescience sectors, the graduates in Occupational Medicine and the medical delegates of Medical Devices are the most demanded profiles, while the specialists in Gynecology and the commercial directors for pharmaceutical laboratories they will be the most quoted in the market.
On all these profiles, said consultant indicates that “they can be very different because of their training and specificities, but they share a common denominator: be strategic for the sectors that demand them.” In addition, he adds that «it is increasingly important that these new professionals have a multidisciplinary profile, with great versatility, analytical capacity and results orientation, as well as a strategic vision, proactivity and adaptation to change».
On the business side, Spring Professional emphasizes that «the challenge is still to attract and retain the best talent and ensure the good integration and coexistence of new (and not so new) technologies – such as artificial intelligence, robotics and the analysis of data- with a motivated team that increasingly demands more flexibility, new challenges and new ways of organizing their tasks and even their work space ».
Thus, this entity remarks that “Spanish companies are already betting, and will do so throughout this year, for the selection of figures such as those found in‘Spring Professional 2020 Wanted‘».
Medical services
According to this report, within the medical services, Occupational Medicine is one of the most demanded specialties, with a wide demand and a low supply of applications. The main mission of this specialist is the promotion, surveillance and protection of the health of employees in their workplace, attending to the physical, chemical or psychological risks that may be involved.
On the other hand, this consultant from Grupo Adecco shows that the area of gynecology specialization in Spain is presenting new scientific advances, “which means that more and more qualified profiles with a clear orientation to the patient are required”. It is a sector that demands a high knowledge of the different techniques and treatments, as well as a high capacity to work very hand in hand and individually with each patient. In addition, it is a position that is very defined by the skills and aptitudes that each person can contribute.
Additionally, this report points out that «the increase in assisted reproduction clinics has had a very direct influence on the fact that this specialty is positioned as one of the most demanded ones» and, therefore, for Spring Professional, it is «the most quoted in the market ».
Inside the pharmaceutical laboratories
As regards the Medical Devices commercial delegates, Adecco indicates that they are profiles that «have direct contact with the client and are key figures in the expansion of the companies. They are highly demanded profiles and difficult to find because of their specifications not only technical, but also competitive ».
Within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology laboratories, this Spring Professional document emphasizes that «the commercial area acquires an unquestionable prominence, being the leading figure in this area the most sought-after». The Commercial Management of a pharmaceutical laboratory assumes responsibility for the definition of the company’s commercial strategy, thereby directly impacting their results.
