Occupational Health Nurse: Responsibilities, Qualifications, and Scope of Work

Reporting to the referring doctor in the area of ​​assignment, the nurse will join the Occupational Health Prevention division. He will contribute to the implementation of the CDG’s occupational health policy and will integrate a multidisciplinary team made up of doctors, secretaries, prevention advisors, occupational psychologists, disability referent, ergonomist and ACFI. In compliance with the provisions of the Public Health Code, the occupational health nurse will carry out specific missions delegated by the occupational physician, according to written protocols, which will consist of carrying out nursing interviews, site visits as well as carrying out prevention, screening and education actions, requiring regular travel throughout the department. These missions will be carried out in coordination with the representatives of the member communities and establishments.

*Technical field: – Non-invasive nursing care; – Practice of specific additional examinations (audiometry, spirometry); – Maintenance lines; – Assessment of the state of health, role of warning and screening of individual health situations that could endanger the employee himself, his professional entourage and his employability; – Look for professional exposures and risky work situations. – Occupational health education; *Nursing consultations on “prescription” from the occupational physician and on protocol: Consultation guided by the concept of perceived health allowing the evaluation of work experience, health events, the analysis of situations, and the identification of salient facts. The objective is to ensure: – Transmission of useful information to the doctor; – Traceability of professional exposures; – Continuity of employee health monitoring at work; – Prevention and education adapted to the workplace and professional risks; – The expression of the specific nursing role; * Collective prevention: Raising awareness of occupational risks with the objective of occupational health for a targeted population, in the most appropriate form. * Intervention in services on delegation from the occupational physician: – Job study; – Participation in CHSCT; – Visit to workplaces; – Analysis of safety data sheets; *Participation in working groups: Part of the management of a service project linked to occupational health issues; *Operating activities: – Writing a nursing activity report; – Production of slideshows, brochures, letters, Assistance to the doctor in the preparation of his reports; – Participation in the quality process according to the service project.

– Qualification: Proof of an Inter University diploma in occupational health (DIUST) or other diploma in the specialty – Professional experience of at least 2 years is recommended.
